Bullinger Explores Covid-19’s Impact on Children, Domestic Violence; A Second Paper Examines Link Between Medicaid Expansions, Child Support Payments
Closures and home sheltering under the Covid-19 pandemic has led to an increase in child abuse and neglect and domestic violence — often in families with no history of such problems, according to new research Assistant Professor Lindsey Bullinger of the School of Public Policy. Bullinger also had a second paper published this month examining the link between Medicaid expansions under the Affordable Care Act and child support payments.

The award to WCP reflects the committment of Rebecca Burnett, who led the program through July 2020, and 40 faculty and Brittain Fellows. Also in LMC, Nandita Gupta, a master's student in Human-Computer Interaction in the Graduate Program in Digital Media was named as Student Diversity Champion. Thirteen faculty, staff, and students in the College were celebrated as Faces of Inclusive Excellence.
