Study Abroad in Mexico: ‘An Invaluable Experience’ Gets Students Involved in Local Culture, Government, and Technology

Part of the College's founding mission was to help "internationalize" Georgia Tech. We began teaching modern languages on campus in 1904. In the 1990s, we established Tech's international degree designation. Today, our faculty lead 23 Study Abroad programs and we offer internationally focused degrees that span economics, international security and affairs, modern languages and culture, science and technology. 56% of Georgia Tech students and 69% of Ivan Allen students graduate with international experience, and in many other ways, the College continues to define a leading edge for global education at Georgia Tech. In celebration of International Education Week (Nov. 18-22), we showcase our Study Abroad in Mexico program.
