Opening Faculty Meeting Set for August 28
The Ivan Allen College-wide Faculty meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m. in
D.M. Smith, Room 105.
The Dean and IAC Chairs will introduce new faculty and staff in their units.

New Associate Dean for Research Named
Susan Cozzens, Professor, School of Public Policy, has been named the Associate Dean for Research, effective August 1, 2007. Dr. Cozzens came to Georgia Tech as Chair of the School of Public Policy in July 1998. She served in that position for five years and now is Director of the Technology Policy Assessment Center and the doctoral program for the School of Public Policy. Cozzens earned her Ph.D. in Sociology from Columbia University in 1985 while working for the Institute for Scientific Information (1977-1981) and the National Science Foundation (1981-1986) as a policy analyst. Cozzens was in the Department of Science and Technology Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1987-1998), and also served as Director, Office of Policy Support at the National Science Foundation (1995-1997). Altogether, Cozzens' background has provided her with over three decades of experience with sponsored research and administration. |
