Will Wright, Creator of SimCity, Will Receive the Ivan Allen Prize for
Progress and Service
The 2005 Ivan Allen Prize designee, Will Wright, is the creator of SimCity (1989), which has spawned a dizzying array of wildly popular games. This recognition underscores IAC's commitment to digital media and its far-reaching impact on society. Wright's ground-breaking game The Sims puts players in charge of a neighborhood of simulated people and has become a cultural phenomenon. |
