Will Wright, Creator of SimCity, Will Receive the Ivan Allen Prize for Progress and Service

The 2005 Ivan Allen Prize designee, Will Wright, is the creator of SimCity (1989), which has spawned a dizzying array of wildly popular games. This recognition underscores IAC's commitment to digital media and its far-reaching impact on society. Wright's ground-breaking game The Sims puts players in charge of a neighborhood of simulated people and has become a cultural phenomenon.

Georgia Tech Researchers, led by Philip Shapira (Public Policy), Begin New Study to Examine Creative Capabilities in Science and Technology

Public Policy faculty in the Technology Policy and Assessment Center (TPAC) are collaborating with European Partners, the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI) and Sussex University's Science and Technology Policy Research Unit (SPRU), in a new study to examine creative capabilities and the promotion of highly innovative research in Europe and American (CREA).
